To install, is it just a matter of unscrewing the 4 small corner screws and replacing the original plastic shoe adapter with this one?

Jason, yes just remove the 4 screws, then the 2 silver screws to replace the metal shoe adapter. Thanks

Is the plastic part (the one faded out in the picture) rather than the shoe adapter available as spare part? Mine broke!

I currently own 2 Sony HVL-LBPA lights and have had its plastic shoe adapter part break off twice! I recently bought (LA Color Pros's) Metal Replacement Shoe Adapter for Comer 1800 and it works great! In fact, I plan on buying 1 more for my other light right now. Thank you LA Color Pros for saving me from spending over a $100 on Panasonic's "plastic" part and providing me with a "metal" part. I love you guys!

Hi,
I have an older comer led video light, which I bought from you a few years ago now, with the plastic shoe mount. This shoe mount has cracked and makes the light unusable. I heard that there is a metal replacement part for this. Can you help me with this?

I have the Sony light, and the plastic shoe mount has broken, and I'm very interested in your replacement.
In the picture above you the plastic part of the shoe is faded out. It seems it is one piece on the Sony, and wanted to be sure it is included in the purchase of the replacement part?

Yes the metal shoe will fit to the Sony light. There're 4 screws that you can take out the plastic shoe. The cold shoe part of Comer light and Sony light is identical.
