Posted by Roger on 5/21/2009 4:56:50 AM How many hours of usage of this battery with the HV30 camera?

Replied by LA Color Pros The specs of the battery indicated 7 hours usage. However, we are able to use this battery continously in recording mode with LCD screen open for about 3.5 hour to 4 hours. During that period of time, there're also frequent zooming in and out too.
Posted by Scott Hampton on 5/22/2009 11:52:40 AM You get 3.5 to 4 hours of continuous usage with LCD open? Wow, I get less tan one hour with the stock battery. Such a headache.

I'm ordering two.
Posted by Scott Hampton on 5/29/2009 1:18:00 PM I ordered mine on Friday, and with Memorial Day on Monday, the stuff was in my box on Tuesday from Cali to NY. That's fast!

The merch was packed in very strong containers so there's no damage. I popped the batteries on the charger and they charged up in less than an hour. Perhaps they had a partial charge already, but that was fast, too. I haven't put them on the camera yet, but if it really holds four hours, that much more than the ~45 minutes I get with the stock batteries.

And I love the charger's slim design and recessed plug. I'm putting the car charger part in the glove box so I can always keep a fresh charge.

I'm a very skeptical guy, and so far this has proven to be a good buy. And purchasing on the Internet was no problem.

Taky, it was good doing business with you bro. I got two batteries, one charger, and zero headache. When the time comes I'll buy again.

Posted by Evan on 8/6/2009 4:41:00 PM Hello. I'm ordering from Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, CA. How long will it take to ship? I will need it as soon as possible.
Posted by Cory on 9/17/2009 6:02:00 PM I ordered 2 batteries and charger and for some reason they do not seem to be holding charge at all despite being shown as green when they are done.

Replied by LA Color Pros Please contact us at info@lacolorPros.com and we will arrange a replacement for you.
Posted by Dave on 10/7/2009 3:48:00 PM Does it work with the HF11? I don't see it listed in the compatibility list.

Replied by LA Color Pros HF series camera uses BP-800 series batteries. We have BP-827 available

Posted by Stefan on 10/28/2009 2:17:00 PM I cannot believe how cheap you are selling these compared to the UK! We can buy these batteries here for 74 (121$) each! Ofc, we are paying VAT and such but still I'm making an incredible saving :)

I've ordered two from here and a UK charger from Amazon.
I hope it all works ok!
Posted by Seedpress on 11/1/2009 9:28:00 PM Will my HV40 display the battery charge level info from this battery? Many generic batteries can't do this. But I noticed your product specs say that your replacement battery has a " built-in battery life microchip." So, what's the bottom line?

Replied by LA Color Pros Canon started implementing a chip into their Canon brand batteries in new digital camera and camcorder products. For those cameras, it will detect if the inserted battery is Canon brand or not. If not, it won't display remaining battery level.

However, this doesn't apply to the HV series camcorder. So, our generic BP-2L24H battery will work well with your HV40 with reminding battery level reported on the LCD screen. Nothing to worry about.
Posted by Logan on 12/1/2009 7:38:00 PM If I order this right now, will it be shipped to Minnesota for this weekend?

Replied by LA Color Pros If you order it in the next 20 minutes, I can ship it out to you now using Priority Mail. It should get there by this weekend. However, only using express mail will be guarantee delivery in 1 to 2 days.
Posted by Brian C. on 12/5/2009 6:16:00 PM I used this battery for the first time today after charging full. I must say I was quite pleased as I shot video for my son's wrestling matches as well as the rest of the team. (each kid wrestled at least 3 time over the course of the day. I was busy shooting from 9:30am to about 4:30pm. NOt a lot of continuous shooting as wrestling matches are 10min at most and 30sec at least. So alot of turning the camera on and off, which from my experience with digital cameras this can be draining on the battery.
SO, here's the run down. I got approx. 2 hours of HXP recording time at 24fps in Cinema mode including watching some playbacks and then watching them all on my TV when I got home on ONE charge, with a little juice to spare.
If these batteries take a puke I will still buy again rather than a Canon for $120.
Posted by Brian C. on 12/5/2009 6:26:00 PM By the way...the Canon battery that came with my camera...did not work after charging. CAnnot go wrong with these ;)

Replied by LA Color Pros Brian, thank you for leaving us feedback. It's good to know the battery and charger works great for you.
Posted by cgbier on 2/5/2010 10:04:00 PM That must be some kind of a conspiracy. That battery gives you over 4 hours of shooting. Now you have to go out and buy more tapes....

On a serious note: That battery works great with my HV30. It comes pre-charged, so you can go out and shoot right out of the box. Charging time is about 6 hours from 0-100.
Order processing was lightning fast, packaging satisfactory.
I can only recommend to order from LaColor!

Replied by LA Color Pros cgbier, thanks for leaving us your feedback. it's certainly good to know the battery and our services impresses you =)
Posted by Joe on 2/28/2010 6:10:00 PM Learned about this website from HV20.com and good reviews so I ordered a couple batteries.

Very prompt processing and delivery from LA to NYC. Much appreciated! Worked great at wedding taping yesterday!!

Have no problem recommending this site to anyone looking for quality products at an affordable price.

Replied by LA Color Pros Joe, thanks for the nice comment. Hope you can spread some good words about us.
Posted by Oscar Contreras on 3/2/2010 12:09:00 AM Can i charge this battery on the original battery charger that comes with the canon hv20 or do i need a new one?

Replied by LA Color Pros Canon HV20 camera doesn't come with any charger. You will need to charge the battery with the camera when the camera is in OFF position. You can charge this battery with the camera. It is recommended to buy the wall charger in order to take the work load off the camera.
Posted by Tom Blizzard on 7/12/2010 9:49:00 PM Just amazing..... I've NEVER received service like this.... I ordered this battery Saturday morning and it was delivered today (Monday). I could not believe it. That's from California to Florida!

Wow, now what can I order next ??

thanks, Taky..... I like your style!
Posted by Brian Ross on 11/24/2010 12:39:00 PM Per Oscar's comment:
The HV20 does come with a wall charger. Mine did anyway.
So will the Canon wall charger charge this battery ???
Thanks

Replied by LA Color Pros The HV20 and HV30 I had both don't come with wall charger. The battery is charged with the camera itself while the camera is in OFF position. If you have Canon branded charger, it will charge this battery fine.
Posted by Steve Brinser on 2/1/2011 9:35:00 AM First time purchaser and very satisfied. I got this battery and the suggested charger (using my HV30 to charge is a pain -- Canon was just being cheap not to include one). Order process was very smooth and shipping was fast. Highly recommended.
Thanks
Posted by Tom B. on 6/12/2011 7:17:00 AM Just a followup to my post from a year ago. I highly recommend this battery. I shoot weddings with a A1 and two HV40 Canons. I am using two of these batteries for my HV40 cams. I have repetedely done complete weddings, ceremony and reception, with this battery and not run out of juice. Amazing quality at a great price.

Replied by LA Color Pros Tom, thank you for your kind message.
Posted by Beco on 7/6/2011 8:22:00 AM Hi! Everyone from HV20 forum buys from you and they are all pleased. Do you ship to Europe? If you do, how much it will take to arrive here? Cheers

Replied by LA Color Pros Beco, we ship worldwide. You can add items to cart to check out to see the shipping cost.
Posted by Antony on 7/26/2011 7:26:00 PM Hi from New Zealand, Just like to say thanks for the fast service at LaColor. The online chat was efficient and super quick talking with Michael. I purchased two more BP-2L24H Canon batteries after buying one a couple of months back and being happy with the performance. Thanks again for the extra power for my HV30!
Posted by Hair Police on 2/26/2012 3:21:00 AM Is it compatible with the Legria HV cameras to?

Replied by LA Color Pros Yes, VIXIA and LEGRIA are the same camera series. Canon uses different model branding in different countries.
Posted by Jon Kristoffersen on 5/8/2014 12:50:00 PM I came here on the recommendation from HV20.com. I have got an HV20 with several batteries that can't hold their charge. Seeing as this model is quite old, are the batteries you sell still "fresh"? Will I get several hours of use?

Replied by LA Color Pros Jon, one of the characteristics of li-ion battery is, if they weren't been used for a long time, the first few times of use, the battery won't hold a full charge. However, once it finishes a few recharge/deplete cycle, the battery will go back to it's full capacity. Since the HV20 is quite an old camera, it is very likely batteries were on shelve for a while. Just try use it for a few cycles. You will see the run time get longer each time.
