Looking for batteries for HV20, HV30 and HV40?

This BP-827 battery will not work with Canon VIXIA HV20, HV30 and HV40. Only the BP-2L24H Battery that will work with these models.

Posted by cnolan on 3/26/2010 12:33:00 PM I got this battery in the mail yesterday, charged the battery up until the light was green (on the charger it came with), . . attached it to my HF20, and the meter said there was only 170minutes, . . . on those pics it shows 298 minutes.
should i get the same amount of time for a new full charge?

Replied by LA Color Pros Sometimes Li-ion battery needs a few cycles (deplete-recharge) to slowly get back to it's maximum capacity. Please give it a try first. If it still doesn't give you good amount of work time, we can arrange an exchange or refund back to you. Thanks

Replied by LA Color Pros Hi, this battery is the same size and dimension as the original Canon battery. It functions just like the stock battery that you can charge it with your camera. But it's always recommended to get a separate charger as you can only charge the battery with the camera when the camera is not in use.

Yes I know it's clearly indicated but I cannot find anywhere on web the dimension of the original canon battery and therefor can only trust it is really the same size as you said to your other client. Housing manufacturer says the original one fits in.

Are you 100% sure this battery will work with the XA-10 and will display the meter and charge in the camera? If I buy it and it doesn't work with my camera, will I be refunded?

Does it come with an external charger? I don't like charging the batteries in the camera.

This is the charger to be used with this battery. Therefore you don't need to use the camera to charge the battery

If I buy this battery and the charger will it charge my old led read out batt.? Also, do you have a suggestion for a video light/mic bracket that won't block manipulation of the touch screen display?
