Replied by LA Color Pros Yes Comer 5500 is about 3 times more powerful than the Comer 1800 light. As the name implied, it is 5500 lux brightness compared to 1800 lux of the Comer 1800 light.

Is the "5500lux" only when all diodes are turned on (4500k)?

Replied by LA Color Pros At color temperature 5600K, the maximum output is 5200 lux. 5600 lux is archived at 4500K.

Replied by LA Color Pros Brian, yes it will accept that battery with V-mount. We also have an Anton Bauer interface for CM-LED5500K light. You can contact us after you place the order. It will take a few more days before we can ship out the light with Anton Bauer connector.
Posted by Philip Bateman on 3/6/2011 8:26:00 PM Daaaaaaamn I need two of these.. the Comer 1800b dropped from a lighting stand yesterday and I'm happy to report it didn't suffer a scratch, though the battery split open and had to be retaped.. the lights still working great :)

Replied by LA Color Pros We don't have that particular product in here for a side by side comparison. However, according to the specifications, Litepanels 1x1 Bi-Color output at 1100 lux at 1.2m while Comer CM-LED5500K output at 5500 lux at 1 meter. Comer is hands down on output efficiency and price.

Replied by LA Color Pros The power adapter measured 6.5"x2.5"x1.5". The cord attached to the brick to the light is 94". The power cord from the brick to the AC outlet is 60". The total length of the entire AC cord is 6.5" + 94" + 60" = 160.5" (13 feet 4.5 inches)

Is there a way to have an idea at one meter away and with an iso of 200 and shutter speed of 1/60 what would be the aperture please? I would like to replace my Bowens flash units but need some indication. (I have a 5D MK2 by the way). Thanks

Is a barn door attachment or softbox attachment in the works?

Replied by LA Color Pros The remote control does not have selectable channels. It operates the same frequency to all the CM-LED5500K light. If you have the light placed right next to each other, the remote control will operate on both lights at the same time.
 
The light is fully dimmable. There is not need to use barn door to cover the light as in traditional stage lights.
 
It also comes with a white creamy magnetized diffuser that diffuses the light. There is no softbox attachment.

Also, when you dim the light, the led are never goes to 0, so if you setup up 5,600K and dim, you will end at 4,500K without any way of turning off the yellow bulb!

Replied by LA Color Pros This light has high lux output that generally 1 light can do the job. However, 3 lights is recommended for 3-point lighting setup for best result.

Replied by LA Color Pros Hi Peter, Comer 5500 light comes with an AC adapter for wall plug. It can also accept either Sony V-mount battery or Anton/Bauer battery only.
